Absolute Insurance supports Variety – the Children’s Charity.
When Craig & Jaynie Hudgell, Owners of Absolute Insurance Ltd, were invited to attend the Skycity Variety of Chef’s fundraising dinner 3 years ago, they were moved by the many individual stories of families in NZ, struggling to provide the basic necessities for their children, and the incredible work that Variety – The Children’s Charity does to help these families.
That night they not only bid on many auction items to raise funds, but they also committed to sponsoring a child. “The little girl we support comes from a single parent family, and we are thrilled to be able to help” said Craig. The sponsorship money all goes towards ensuring that this child has books for school, the right sports gear and uniform – all the small things that make a child feel they are not missing out. “We love to receive the letters and cards from our “child” and to read about her progress at school, and we look forward to watching her grow into a happy, contributing member of NZ society” said Jaynie.
Since that night Absolute Insurance has bought a table at two more Variety events, and this year their Auckland based Advisers and partners attended the event, with a number of them also committing to sponsor a child.
“As successful, responsible business people, it is our duty to give back to the communities in which we operate, and it is a privilege to be able to help in this small way. We are very proud of our team, and the way they have also reached out to help these disadvantaged families” said Craig.
