Absolute Insurance dives in to help Arthritis NZ!

Absolute Insurance’s association with Arthritis NZ all started back in 2010, when Jaynie Hudgell, Director of Absolute Insurance, was asked to take part in a charity Legends Relay held at the NZ Swimming champs in Auckland.  As a former 1972 Olympian and Gold and Bronze medalist at the 1974 Commonwealth Games in Christchurch, Jaynie and her team were determined to do their part for such a worthy cause.

Not only did Team Arthritis raise the most money for their cause (over $11,000), but they also won the event in the pool.

Since then Absolute Insurance has been supporting Arthritis NZ, and in 2015 not only did Jaynie take part in another charity swimming relay, but she was joined by her husband, Craig, a former NZ backstroke Champion.  This time they raised over $6000 for Arthritis NZ.

For over 40 years Arthritis NZ New Zealand has been providing information, advice and support to the 530,000 New Zealanders diagnosed with one of the more than 140 forms of arthritis, including 1,000 children.

“Arthritis is a crippling disease, which affects many people in this country, and the work Arthritis NZ does as far as research and support for sufferers, is so important” says Jaynie, now an official Ambassador for Arthritis NZ.
